Listen and learn

In internet we can find all the tools we need to teach English and YouTube or Teacher tube are very useful for that. Please don't watch a video for the first time directly with the students. We have to watch alone all the videos that we want to use in the classroom and only after that we can watch them with our students. We have to do it in order to avoid problems and embarrassing situations in front of the class.
For example, if we are studying past simple, we can watch this video and ask them to listen, repeat and learn. Do you know what do these verbs mean?

Past simple

The students from 5th and 6th grade are invited to do all the grammar activities with the past simple and REMEMBER
The verb TO BE doesn´t need the auxiliary DID in order to make the negative or the question.

The regular and the irregular verbs need the auxiliary DID in the past tense simple in order to make the negative and the question:

NEGATIVE: subject + did + not + verb in infinitive
I did not go to Barcelona.

DID NOT = DIDN´T

QUESTION: DID + SUBJECT + VERB IN INFINITIVE
Did I go to Barcelona?

Did you know that DID is the past simple of the verb TO DO????

On the left side, you´ll find some web pages very interesting. Here you can practice all the grammar you want.
Remember that we need the grammar to speak correctly.
try to do the activities and if you have any question, leave me a message

Remember the past simple

affirmative

YOU WERE
HE, SHE, IT WAS
